CBCQ extends a warm welcome to new members and encourages active participation at the meetings and its informative events. Working and operating overseas presents many challenges for any business so prospective members will have an ideal opportunity to meet fellow professionals across all commercial sectors to share ideas and experiences within a vibrant social environment.

Membership Categories and qualifications are as follows:

Full Membership qualifications:

1. A Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada legally resident in the State of Qatar who is (a)an executive of or who holds a senior position in companies or other entities in the commercial and non-commercial sectors and having a permanent establishment in the State of Qatar (whether or not such companies or entities are Canadian); or, (b) who is a professional practicing in the State of Qatar.
2. A Company or Corporate Entity incorporated in Canada and having a permanent establishment (through a branch or corporate subsidiary) in the State Qatar, and companies or other corporate entities incorporated outside Canada that have a permanent establishment (through a branch or corporate subsidiary)in the State of Qatar, and that (a) are wholly owned or controlled by Canadian companies or persons, (b) have Canadian Senior Management (as may be determined by CBCQ Board of Directors), or (c) have a presence in Canada.

Affiliate Membership: Non-resident individuals trading or seeking to trade in Qatar on behalf of Canadian companies or companies with a Canadian nexus.

Companies or other corporate entities incorporated under the laws of any Province or Territory in Canada or under Canadian federal law (“Canadian Companies”) and having a permanent establishment (through a branch or corporate subsidiary) in the State of Qatar; and, companies or other corporate entities incorporated outside Canada that have a permanent establishment (through a branch or corporate subsidiary) in the State of Qatar and that are (1) wholly-owned or controlled by Canadian companies or persons, (2) have Canadian senior management (as may be determined by the Board of Directors), or (3) have a presence in Canada.

Each Corporate Member shall nominate a company Representative residing in the State of Qatar to be its Primary Representative to the CBCQ and one Alternate Representative residing in the State of Qatar who may attend meetings in the absence of its designated Primary Representative to the CBCQ.

 Additional employees of a Corporate Member fees: 500QR each

Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada resident in the State of Qatar who are executives of, or who hold senior positions in, companies or other entities in the commercial and non-commercial sectors and having a permanent establishment in the State of Qatar (whether or not such companies or entities are Canadian);

Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada in the State of Qatar who are professionals practicing in the State of Qatar.

Non-resident individuals trading or seeking to trade in Qatar on behalf of Canadian companies/companies with a Canadian nexus. Affiliate benefits are the same as Individual benefits.
